Fifth-grade students from Havasupai, Nautilus, Oro Grande, Jamaica, Starline and Smoketree elementary schools and Telesis Preparatory Academies, graduated from N.O.V.A Friday morning at the Aquatic Center. N.O.V.A stands for Nurturing Opportunities Values Accountability and is a program taught by the Lake Havasu City Police Department. It teaches fifth-graders about life lessons, drug and internet safety. The students were also awarded patches for top written essays and rocket building.
