Thursday Morning Sparkles With Snow on Crossman Peak

Sparkling snow greeted Lake Havasu City residents and visitors when they woke up Thursday morning.

The snow started to accumulate on the mountains east of Havasu Wednesday evening after a few storms came through the Tri-State area.

Snow in Kingman and ice on Interstate-40 was the reason the highway was closed most of Wednesday afternoon and night. Road closures also included highways going to Flagstaff and Las Vegas, Nev.

Even though March 1 is the first day of Meteorological Spring, Lake Havasu City received 30 mph wind gusts, rain, thunder, lightning and graupel throughout Wednesday afternoon and into the evening.
