The 6th annual Zombie Pub Crawl brought individuals’ creatively creepy costumes out in droves Saturday night on McCulloch Boulevard. There were short zombies, tall zombies, old zombies and young zombies with one thing in common – the need to hunt fresh brains and living flesh.

With ripped clothing, messy hairdos and streaked with bloodstains, the zombies invaded downtown McCulloch from BJs Cabana Bar to Flying X Saloon beneath a full moon. They were drag-legged, lurching, pale-faced, gray-eyed, erratically making their way from place to place.
Each individual was unique, each group was frightening, and all were silently suggesting that those still living may want to head for home, lock the doors, put out the lights, and hide beneath the covers. It just may be best to wait it out, to wait for yet another day to dawn.
