Sunday night concluded the Western Pyrotechnic Association Winterblast Show at Havasu 95 Speedway.
Part of the demonstrations was presented by kids called the “PIT Crew.” These are kids ages 6-17 years old who were taught how to safely create fireworks by experienced WPA adults throughout the weekend.
The rest of Sunday’s show featured fireworks, mostly large shells, that WPA members displayed to showcase to other members. This was not a choreographed show like the Friday and Saturday public displays.
Last week, RiverScene Magazine was able to go behind the scenes to watch the set up of Winterblast and learn more about pyrotechnics from WPA members.
