A strong and broad atmospheric weather system will move into the Lake Havasu City area starting this week from California. According to the Las Vegas National Weather Service, clouds will start to increase Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances start going up overnight Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Showers will then be light to moderate the rest of the week. As of Monday morning, there is an 80 percent chance of rain Tuesday evening , then a slight chance of rain Wednesday and Thursday. Friday the chances of rain decrease. Temps throughout the week will be in the 60s and 70s.
Saturday night, there is another system that moves through and there is a high probability of rain. So plan outdoor New Year’s Eve activities accordingly.
Rain chances will then increase again beginning Jan. 2, with another weather system moving through. However, it is still too early to pinpoint the amouont of rain and timing of that weather system a week out, according to the National Weather Service.
