The annual Delbert Days and Grand Canyon Rodeo this weekend is sure to please all the cowboys and cowgirls in the Lake Havasu City area.
And the kid-favorite calf and mutton bustin’ events kick off Saturday with registration at 10 a.m. Riding begins at 11. The age limit for mutton bustin’ is 3 to 6 years old with a 50-pound maximum weight limit, and the calf limit has an 80-pound maximum weight limit. There will be a $10 stock fee and the first 30 sheep riders, and the first 15 calf riders will be selected.

The kids’ event continues at the same time Sunday morning.
The Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association rodeo will 1 to 4 p.m., daily, Saturday and Sunday.
The GCPRA is Arizona’s largest professional rodeo association. Enjoy watching bareback riding, bull riding, bronc riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc calf roping, the rodeo queens and more.
Admission is $15 and that includes Delbert Days events and the rodeo. Children 15 and under are admitted free. Ticket sales at the gate opens at 9 a.m. both days.
In addition to mutton bustin’ and calf riding, there are free events for kids including pony rides, a petting zoo, a mechanical bull, bungee jumps, kind of the hill, a rock wall and more fun.
Event organizers stress COVID-19 safety measures will be followed including not attending if any virus symptoms have been experienced during a 48-hour period prior to the event. Wearing masks and social distancing is encouraged.
